MaxLite's Emergency 4ft. T10 LED Tube: Everyday Light with Built-In Backup

MaxLite has introduced the Emergency 4ft. T10 LED Tube, a double-ended LED replacement lamp that handles everyday lighting and emergency backup in a single product. For facilities that need egress lighting in corridors, stairwells and back-of-house areas, it offers a way to add emergency capability during a standard tube retrofit.
Everyday light with a battery behind it
During normal operation, the tube's internal battery stays charged and ready. When normal power is lost, the tube switches to emergency mode and provides a minimum of 90 minutes of illumination to support safe egress and continuity in critical areas. In emergency mode it runs at 3.5W and about 500 lumens.
Set it up for the space
Wattage and color temperature are both field-selectable, so one part number covers a range of applications:
Wattage: 12W, 14W or 16W (16W default), for roughly 1,650, 1,900 or 2,200 lumens
CCT: 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K or 6500K (4000K default; emergency mode runs at 4000K)
Efficacy: 135 to 137 lumens per watt, CRI 80 or higher
Built for retrofit
The tube uses a simple ballast-bypass (Type B) design and runs on 120 to 277V input. A UL 924 listed twist-to-lock installation adds security once the lamp is in the fixture. It is suitable for damp locations and carries cULus, UL 924, DLC and NSF/ANSI 2 (food equipment) listings.
Rated for the long haul
MaxLite rates the tube for L70 at 50,000 hours and backs it with a 10-year limited warranty.
Where it fits
Schools, offices and healthcare corridors that need egress lighting
Stairwells, back-of-house and storage areas
Retrofit projects where adding separate emergency fixtures isn't practical
