Wire and cable identification is one of the last steps on a panel or harness build, which makes it one of the most frustrating places to wait. When heat shrink labels are on backorder, finished work sits until the markers arrive.

HellermannTyton's answer is ShrinkTrak. HellermannTyton reports that the most commonly used ShrinkTrak labels are in stock and ready to ship, in industry-standard sizes and configurations from 1/8" to 1".

Built for easy installation and clean printing

ShrinkTrak markers are made from cross-linked polyolefin and come flattened on a ladder-style carrier for printing on a thermal transfer printer.

  • 3:1 shrink ratio — each marker covers a range of wire diameters, so fewer part numbers cover more of the job.

  • Side slit and optional center slits — for easy wire insertion.

  • Smooth surface — for clean, legible printing.

  • Ladder-style carrier — markers can be kitted after printing.

An easy switch

HellermannTyton's ShrinkTrak flyer includes a cross-reference to common heat shrink label part numbers, so finding the replacement part number for a label you already specify is straightforward. Sizes on the cross-reference run from .125" (3.17 mm) through 1.0" (25.4 mm), in white and yellow, single-sided, with slit and unslit options.
