Midwest's Heady Duty Safety Switches Provide Safety. Endurance, and Superior Reliability

Available to Electra Sales of North Texas customers, Heavy Duty (Type MH) safety switches from Midwest are ideal for commercial and industrial applications where safety, endurance, and superior reliability are essential.


Type MH safety switches have a maximum voltage is 600 V AC / 250 V DC and they have a wide, unobstructed gutter and self-leveling three-point mounting, allowing for easy installations. They also offer flexibility with the choice between NEMA Type 1 or Type 3R enclosures, 30-200 amperes, fusible or non-fusible, 240 V AC or 250 V DC, and 2 pole or 3 pole. Additionally, all heavy-duty safety switches are UL and cUL listed (UL98 Enclosed Switches) and meet NEMA Enclosed Safety Switch Standard KS1-2013, and also meet Federal Specification WS-865C.


Type MH safety switches are designed with safety in mind. They feature a highly visible ON/OFF label, visible confirmation of blade contacts, coin-proof, defeatable dual interlocks, spring reinforced fuse clips that assure reliable contact for cool operation, an easy to grip red donut handle that accepts one padlock in the OFF position, and a direct drive, quick-make, quick-break mechanism that "snaps" the contacts open and closed.
