Midwest's General Duty Safety Switches are Designed With User Safety in Mind

Available to Electra Sales of North Texas customers, General Duty (Type MG) safety switches from Midwest are ideal for residential and light commercial applications.

Designed with user safety in mind, Type MG safety switches feature a highly visible ON/OFF label, visible confirmation of blade contacts, an integral cover interlock, an easy to grip red handle that accepts one padlock in the OFF position, and a direct drive, quick-make, quick-break mechanism that "snaps" the contacts open and closed.

Type MG safety switches allow for easy installations due to a wide, unobstructed gutter and self-leveling three-point mounting and they offer flexibility with the choice between NEMA Type 1 or Type 3R enclosures, 30-200 amperes, fusible or non-fusible, 240 Vac or 250 Vdc, and 2 pole or 3 pole. Additionally, all General Duty safety switches are UL and cUL listed and meet NEMA Enclosed Safety Switch Standard KS1-2013 and Federal Specification WS-865C.
