Most lighting specifications treat color as a finish detail. On a growing number of jobs it is not. A pharmaceutical lab needs amber because the compounds on the bench are light-sensitive. An inspection station needs green because the operator has to resolve contrast all shift. A bar or a retail display wants blue or violet because the space itself is the product. Light Efficient Design built Color Palette x RemPhos for exactly those jobs.


A single fixed wavelength, six ways

The LBI Palette is a linkable LED bar with an internal driver that delivers one fixed wavelength in your choice of red, orange, amber, green, blue, or violet. Each bar produces its specific wavelength, which is what makes the line usable where the color of the light is the specification rather than an effect.


The detail that matters most for anyone already stocking Light Efficient Design: the Palette uses the same linking technology and the same accessories as the standard LBI. If the LBI is already on your shelf, you already stock most of the job.


FlexWatt puts three wattages in every bar

Every Palette bar ships with multiple wattage settings built in. The 2-foot bar is selectable at 6W, 9W, or 12W. The 4-foot bar is selectable at 10W, 15W, or 25W. That collapses six configurations into two part numbers on the truck and lets the installer trim output at the fixture instead of coming back with a different bar.


Up to 40 bars from one power feed

Runs link end to end from a single power feed - up to 30 4-foot units at 120VAC, or up to 40 at 277VAC. For long benches, cove runs, shelving, and inspection lines, that removes a substantial share of the rough-in you would otherwise be pricing.

Picking the color

Light Efficient Design's application guidance is straightforward. Amber is for photochemical-sensitive areas and glare reduction, which covers most of the pharmaceutical and compounding work where ambient light can degrade what is on the bench. Red reduces eye strain. Green is specified where contrast sensitivity and visual clarity matter. Blue and violet handle high-contrast visibility and display work. Orange is for clear signaling.

Wet, wash-down, and food-handling spaces

For wet, wash-down, or food-handling environments there is the LBI 65 Palette, an IP65-rated and NSF-certified version of the same bar. Those two ratings belong to the LBI 65 specifically, so if the specification calls for washdown or food-handling adjacency, that is the part number to quote.


Controls and warranty

Simple and network lighting controls are available across the line, and the Palette family is backed by warranty. Specification sheets for each color are posted on Light Efficient Design's product page.
