Allied Moulded Products are designed for use in energy-efficient homes and provide a solution that prevents air infiltration/air leakage on exterior walls where openings for electrical switches and receptacles boxes are required.
These UL-listed boxes feature a patented, flexible polyurethane flange that seals the air/vapor barrier. Vapor Seal Electrical Boxes exceed NEMA's requirements against air leakage in exterior walls and they meet the standards outlined in 402.4 of the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code. Additional features include nonmetallic speed “K” klamps to secure the wire, specially designed angled supports, and tampered and machine tapped device holes for easy installations, and they have clearly marked 2-hour fire rating and cubic inch capacity for easy identification and inspection.
